6th Mobile Infantry – First Bug War
1. SITUATION
Enemy Forces: Arachnids have breached the mormon city of Almaris in Klendathu. Warrior swarms patrol the streets, while digger drones have collapsed buildings and seeded tunnels across the outskirts. Plasma fire from hidden emplacements continues to harass Fleet assets. Civilians have been evacuated, leaving the city a hive of bug activity.
Friendly Forces:
– 6th Mobile Infantry (MI): Main strike element deploying from FOB Aries.
– Fleet Support: Drop ships and CAS on standby, limited due to plasma threats.
2. MISSION
At 1700H, the 6th Mobile Infantry will deploy south of FOB Aries by dropship insertion near a crash site containing critical pump activation codes. After recovering the codes, the unit will advance into Almaris, activating three pump stations to flush and collapse Arachnid tunnels beneath the city. Once complete, forces will regroup at the UCF garrison inside Almaris and hold position until Fleet extraction.
3. EXECUTION
Commander’s Intent:
Recover the codes, activate all pumps, cripple the Arachnid hive network beneath Almaris, and extract all surviving MI forces.
Concept of Operations:
– Insert at crash site, secure pump activation codes.
– Advance into the city and activate three designated pump stations.
– Move to UCF garrison and establish defensive perimeter.
– Hold position until Fleet extraction arrives.
Tasks to Subordinate Units:
– Infantry Squads: Secure crash site and pump stations.
– Support Teams: Provide overwatch, suppress swarms during pump activations.
– Command Element: Establish comms link with Fleet and coordinate extraction.
Execution Notes:
– Stealth is not expected — swarms will react aggressively to all activity.
– Extraction is conditional on all pumps being activated.
– Expect heavy resistance around pump stations and hive tunnels.
4. ADMINISTRATION & LOGISTICS (4B’s)
– Beans: Resupply possible at UCF garrison.
– Bullets: Full combat load issued; Fleet resupply drops available mid-mission.
– Band-Aids: Field medics embedded in each squad; CASEVAC possible only from UCF garrison.
– Bad Guys: Warrior swarms, digger drones, and possible plasma bugs near pump stations.
5. COMMAND & SIGNAL
– HQ: FOB Aries north of Almaris.
– Comms Plan: Encrypted Fleet comms; garrison relays as backup.
– Extraction: Fleet dropships inbound to UCF garrison upon mission completion.
