OPERATION CRIMSON CITADEL

- SITUATION
Current Location:
• UMB Colombia – Urban Combat Zone
• NATO forces have established a forward operating base (FOB Guardian) on grid reference 067-990, preparing for a full-scale urban assault. NATO also established Checkpoint (Checkpoint Sentinel) at grid reference 075-001
Objective Locations:
- San Antero – Secure hostages and find the Insurgent leader inside the town.
Weather & Visibility:
• Weather: Clear skies
• Illumination: Daylight will provide natural illumination. Night vision equipment is not necessary for visibility.
• Visibility: Urban density reduces sightlines, with risks of hidden enemy positions in alleyways and buildings.
Enemy Forces:
• Middle Eastern Extremist
• Estimated Strength: 300+ fighters with access to technical and stolen military hardware.
• Weapons: AK-series rifles, RPG-7s, machine guns, IEDs, and possible MANPADS.
• Defensive Setup: Fortified roadblocks, sniper nests, booby-trapped buildings, and underground tunnels.
Friendly Forces:
• Ground Combat Element – Legion: Infantry teams conducting house-to-house clearing operations.
• Ground Combat Element – Panther: Special Forces unit executing HVT takedowns, hostage rescues and rescue stuck
friendlies inside the AO.
• Ground Combat Element – MAD DOG Platoon: Armored platoon providing fire support and breaching capabilities.
• MAD DOG Platoon – CAVSCOUT: Provide Reconnaissance and surveillance for ACP.
• Air Combat Element – Element Special Reconnaissance (ACE – ESPER): Combat Control Team tasked to assist ACE – FAW from the ground in the form of C4ISR.
Civilian Considerations:
• Civilians remain trapped in the city.
• Insurgents may use hostages and human shields.
• Strict Rules of Engagement (ROE): PID before engaging; civilian casualties will jeopardize the mission.

- EXECUTION
Commander’s Intent: - Secure – Push through insurgent defenses, neutralize enemy forces, and clear key objectives.
- Eliminate – Remove high-value targets (HVTs), crippling enemy leadership.
- Protect – Rescue civilians and hostages, ensuring their safety while maintaining ROE.

• Primary and Alternate Frequencies: Briefed prior to operation start.
Callsigns:
• Godfather (Battalion HQ)
• Dagger (Infantry)
• ACP (Armored Company Platoon)
• Overlord (ESPER/JTAC)
- ADMIN & LOGISTICS
Supplies (BBBB):
• Beans: MREs & hydration packs issued at FOB.
• Bullets: Standard NATO loadout (5.56mm, 7.62mm, AT4s, frag/smoke grenades).
• Band-Aids: CCP will be established.
• Bad Guys:
o POWs will be detained at Checkpoint Sentinel for interrogation.
o All secured hostages will be move to Checkpoint Sentinel
Uniform & Loadout:
• Standard AFP DPM urban warfare loadout.
